THE TELEPORTER WAS ORIGINALLY DESIGNED AS A SHORT RANGE SOLUTION FOR NOVELTY RC USE.  DUE TO THE MAJORITY OF CUSTOMERS INTENDING TO USE FOR VIDEO PILOTING, THE TELEPORTER IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE AND BEING REDESIGNED TO MEET THE DEMANDING REQUIREMENTS OF VIDEO PILOTING.  THIS INCLUDES 5.8GHZ OPERATION, IMPROVED HEAD TRACKING TECHNOLOGY AND LONGER RANGE RF HEAD TRACKING LINK.

DUE TO PRODUCT COMPLEXITY AND THE NEED TO DELIVER A PROVEN SYSTEMS, NO RELEASE DATE IS AVAILABLE.  TARGET RELEASE IS SEPTEMBER 2009.

THE SHORT RANGE 2.4GHZ SOLUTION IS STILL AVAILABLE AND BUNDLED WITH THE FPV RC RACER.  WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THE EXISTING TELEPORTER FOR VIDEO PILOTING.

The new Teleporter from Fat Shark adds a new perspective to RC Modeling.  Available in VGA (RCV922T) or QVGA (RCV230T) resolution, the Teleporter is the 1st completely self contained FPV (first person view) system.  The FPV module transmits the camera image direct to the video headset’s internal receiver and the user views the image as seen from inside the RC vehicle.  The headset has a built in head tracker that transmits head motion to the FPV module so the camera on the module looks where the user is looking.  When the user looks left and right the camera also looks left and right giving the user an interactive perspective from inside the vehicle.  

The Teleporter is self contained and operates independently of the RC model.  The FPV module can quickly be installed on any vehicle (car, boat, helicopter, airplane).  The lightweight FPV module (<50g) is suitable for the smallest of helicopter and park flyer airplanes. 

The Teleporter incorporates superior new camera technology.  The high resolution camera makes features distinguishable at long distance and the superior gain control shows bright ground details even when facing direct sunlight.  The low light ability is nothing short of astounding.  The camera automatically switches to blank/white in low light conditions for maximum light capture and can display an image in as little as 0.01 lux. 

The RCV230T is designed for high volume OEM production.  Components were chosen for minimum lead times, high volume capability and minimum price.  The RCV230T is packaged two ways; (1) as a complete and final consumer product and (2) an OEM module that can be quickly and cheaply bundled into an existing vehicle.
